I am a battle-tested leader ready fighting for the hearts and minds of our children. Montana must have a fighter that deeply understands what our families, our teachers, our administrators face coupled with the ability to implement innovation and wellbeing at the local and state level. God-fearing leaders must speak up. I’m standing up and speaking out.

From the days of a Montana childhood, learning was expected by parents who had a resolve that their children would have more opportunities to learn than they. All nine of us would go on to college. In their home there were clear principles that stand the test of time. (1) We are followers of Jesus Christ and as such we serve others. (2) Family is the core of all that is good. All of us learned from a young age that we would learn to work. We keep strong family values. (3) Work is good for you. (4) We love this land of America and stand up for her. We were taught that this is a land preserved by God for freedom and liberty and to do our civic duty.

My college experiences ended up with a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Montana in Secondary Education with dual degrees. Western ranked #4 in the nation for its education program at that time, was amazing. I loved every moment of learning on that campus. My graduate work would take me to Arizona where an MBA from NAU added to the learning paths, followed by another 65 credits in Educational Leadership.
